BOOK on CD EDITION

The Irish Palatines in Ontario: Religion, Ethnicity, and Rural Migration - Second Edition
By Carolyn A. Heald.

The Irish Palatines in Ontario: Religion, Ethnicity, and Rural Migration - Second Edition provides a broad history of the Palatines in Ontario, where they came from, where they settled, and what characterized their communities. It is not a catalogue of every Irish Palatine who settled in Ontario. That said, the book does contain lists of individuals and many references to specific persons and families.

In this new second edition of The Irish Palatines in Ontario the author has corrected known errors from the original 1994 edition and added a completely new chapter on Barbara Heck and the Loyalist Palatines plus other refinements and new material. Barbara Heck was the most well-known of the Irish Palatines because of her influence on Methodism in Canada and the United States.
