The region of settlement covered in this volume (Bay of Quinte region) extends from Kingston to Trenton and includes the counties of Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, Hastings and Prince Edward.

The book is made even more valuable to the genealogist by carrying the histories of many of the families back to the first settlement in the American Colonies in the seventeenth century -- and then bringing the accounts forward into the period of settlement in The Bay Of Quinte region in the 1780s. Accounts include information on the early families up to the turn of the twentieth century.
